Precisamente, cerca de Barcelona se encuentra el macizo de Montserrat, donde Antoni Gaudí dio interminables paseos que le inspiraron para diseñar algunas de sus obras arquitectónicas más populares, como las antes citadas.
Montserrat también es una montaña conocida por la escalada. Cuenta con miles de vías equipadas, tanto de escalada deportiva como de pared o varios largos. También es conocida por sus emocionantes vías ferratas y canales técnicas.
Cerca de Barcelona, además de Montserrat, existen otras escuelas de escalada conocidas, como Subirats, Gelida o Vallirana. Todas estas zonas cuentan con multitud de vías para la escalada de iniciación y escogemos una zona u otra para realizar los cursos de iniciación a la escalada en función de cada época del año. Siempre escalamos vías aptas para todos los participantes en el curso de iniciación, en sectores con pies de vía y aproximaciones cómodas. No nos olvidamos de la belleza del entorno. Además de iniciarte en la escalada podrás disfrutar de un día inolvidable en la montaña.

Este curso es ideal como primera experiencia de escalada en roca. Te enseñaremos las maniobras de seguridad básicas para que des tus primeros pasos en la escalada outdoor. Aprenderas a escalar de top rope y a asegurar con grigri, además te enseñamos los nudos más importantes.

¿Donde se realiza el curso?
El curso se realiza en zonas de escalada en roca cercanas a Barcelona. Dependiendo de la época del año y la meteo, escogeremos el mejor sector para realizar la actividad y garantizar la seguridad y diversión de todos los participantes.
No tengo coche, ¿cómo puedo llegar al punto de encuentro?
Según la zona del curso, es posible que puedas llegar en transporte público hasta un sitio cercano y el guía te pueda recoger para acercarte hasta el punto de encuentro. De todas maneras esto se coordina en cada caso particular.
¿Necesito tener experiencia previa?
No, no hace falta experiencia previa. Esta sesión de escalada esta pensanda para iniciarse en la actividad y aprender conceptos básicos de seguridad.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with SouthClimb. Let’s begin with how gorgeous Siurana was! Our guide Santi found an area and climbing routes that were fun and perfectly suited for the grades that myself and the other girl in our group climb. There were specific skills I wanted to work on (cleaning the anchor) and Santi climbed up the route next to one I climbed so that we could work through the process together in a way that was simple, clear, and made me feel safe. Had an amazing time learning to multi-pitch with Santi and Mariano in Montserrat. They were patient with us and taught us everything we need. We ended the day by climbing El Gorro Frigo (5 pitches).
I organised a 4hr climbing session in Siurana for 10 children (mostly aged 8-9) and Santi was super easy to communicate with and organise everything remotely. He arranged 2 guides, all the equipment, safe briefing and everything you would need for a half day of fun climbing. The kids really enjoyed themselves and learnt so much along the way. Some were beginners, others had climbed before and the guides were very helpful and supportive. I highly recommend Southclimb and we can’t wait to go climbing with them again.
Santi hosted 5 of us amateur climbers in Siurana for 5 days, most of whom had never climbed outdoors before. We felt so safe with Santi as a guide, and he was able to provide climbing support as well as local recommendations (and jokes) at the same time! We all definitely leant a lot from him.
We had an amazing experience with Southclimb. Santi, our guide, was friendly, patient and clear throughout our three days together. He kept things moving at a pace that was ideal for our level of experience, and made sure we were able to cover all the things we were looking for help with.
