Why Climb in Siurana
Nestled in the heart of the
Priorat region (Tarragona),
Siurana stands as one of the world’s most iconic climbing destinations. Its compact limestone walls, breathtaking natural scenery, and the deep sense of history embedded in every sector make it a must-visit spot for climbers of all levels.
From beginners to 9a climbers, everyone finds their place in this small medieval village overlooking the reservoir and the Montsant range.
How to Get to Siurana
The most convenient way to reach Siurana is
by car, which allows you to move freely between climbing sectors.
From
Barcelona or Tarragona, take the
AP-7 motorway to Reus, then continue toward
Cornudella de Montsant. From there, a scenic mountain road leads up to Siurana (about 15 minutes).
If you’re traveling by public transport, you can take a train or bus to Reus, and then a local bus to Cornudella. Service frequency is limited, so we recommend coordinating transfers in advance or hiring a local climbing guide to simplify logistics.
