The Montserrat Massif geography is unique: it's made out of thousands of conglomerate needles rising dozens of feet above the ground and it has a long, rich history. Many of its summits can only be reached climbing, which is the most elegant way to get to a highest point. The views from these summits are hard to explain: we recommend you experience them yourself.
The Gorros de Montserrat area offers a great variety of routes that are ideal to enter the big walls world while enjoying a marvelous environment and spectacular views.
Some of the most repeated lines are the Carles and the Adrià on the Gorro Frigi, or the 98 Octanos on the Magdalena Superior. The Magdalena Inferior can be climbed up the Rantaplan, while on the Gorra Marinera the classic is the Sargantanes route.

Did one week course with Santi, in a group of 4. We went to different sites every single day (Siurana, Margalef, Arboli and Montserrat) which gave me a very good overview of some of the best sites in the Tarragona area. Teaching of Santi is of top quality, with the right level of technical and mental aspects and most importantly his passion to share is amazing. Always felt encouraged and motivated. Santi hosted 5 of us amateur climbers in Siurana for 5 days, most of whom had never climbed outdoors before. We felt so safe with Santi as a guide, and he was able to provide climbing support as well as local recommendations (and jokes) at the same time! We all definitely leant a lot from him.

I organised a 4hr climbing session in Siurana for 10 children (mostly aged 8-9) and Santi was super easy to communicate with and organise everything remotely. He arranged 2 guides, all the equipment, safe briefing and everything you would need for a half day of fun climbing. The kids really enjoyed themselves and learnt so much along the way. Some were beginners, others had climbed before and the guides were very helpful and supportive. I highly recommend Southclimb and we can’t wait to go climbing with them again.
