El Anayet es un estético pico de 2.545 metros de altitud situado al norte de Aragón, prácticamente en la frontera entre el Pirineo aragonés y francés. El entorno de esta montaña es idílico, con los Ibones del Anayet a sus pies y unas espléndidas vistas del Midi d’Ossau, la gran montaña vecina, ya en territorio francés.
El origen del pico Anayet es volcánico. Al derrumbarse media parte del volcán acabó quedando la montaña tal y como se conoce hoy en día, considerada la chimenea de esta formación geológica. A pesar de no alcanzar los 3.000 metros de altura, a diferencia de otras montañas del Pirineo, es uno de los picos más visitados de esta cordillera, tanto por escaladores como por senderistas.
El Anayet cuenta con dos vías largas equipadas de dificultad asequible y de gran belleza. Las vías se llaman ‘Sueño de Verano’ (350m 6a) y ‘Los Balcones del Anayet’ (350m V+). El repertorio de movimientos es variado en las dos líneas y escogeremos una u otra en función del día y del volumen de escaladores y escaladoras en la montaña.
Mirando el Anayet desde el camino de aproximación, la vía ‘Sueño de Verano’ está a la izquierda de la siempre demandada ‘Los Balcones del Anayet’. La ‘Sueño de Verano’ tiene una longitud de350 metros y se divide en 11 largos. El grado es bastante homogéneo durante toda la ascensión,con un único paso de 6a en la última sección. La recompensa final es la cima del Anayet, que nos regalará unas espectaculares vistas de esta parte del Pirineo de Aragón.
La dificultad de ‘Los Balcones del Anayet’ es similar, con un grado máximo de V+ que deberemos escalar en el cuarto largo. Tiene una tirada más y también alcanza la cima del Anayet.
