In Siurana you can climb all year. If you know where to go and at what time, this paradise of orange rock, always has a good sector to enjoy climbing, either in the middle of summer or in the middle of winter.
Those super cold days, with single digit temperatures and north winds winds, Siurana offers a good variety of crags to shelter and enjoy climbing. Here is a selection of our favorite sectors for the coldest days of the year.
La Reina Mora, is a sector with lots of sun and quite sheltered from the wind. In addition, this sector is better to visit on very cold days, since its climbing routes tend to be very vertical, technical and with very small holds, being better to climb here the days of more friction. Santi hosted 5 of us amateur climbers in Siurana for 5 days, most of whom had never climbed outdoors before. We felt so safe with Santi as a guide, and he was able to provide climbing support as well as local recommendations (and jokes) at the same time! We all definitely leant a lot from him.
We had an amazing first experience thanks to Southclimb. Santi was extremely kind, helpful and attentive - he's a super friendly and dedicated instructor. We will come again and we will definitely call him back and, of course, we would recommend his services to anybody who is looking for good vibes while learning and having fun.
