In Siurana you can climb all year. If you know where to go and at what time, this paradise of orange rock, always has a good sector to enjoy climbing, either in the middle of summer or in the middle of winter.
Those super cold days, with single digit temperatures and north winds winds, Siurana offers a good variety of crags to shelter and enjoy climbing. Here is a selection of our favorite sectors for the coldest days of the year.
La Reina Mora, is a sector with lots of sun and quite sheltered from the wind. In addition, this sector is better to visit on very cold days, since its climbing routes tend to be very vertical, technical and with very small holds, being better to climb here the days of more friction. Here you will find routes from 5th to 8b, of excellent quality, although the sector will be enjoyed more if your level goes from 6b to 7c.

Corral Nou, a not very frequented sector but with excellent climbing. It is in the sun and although its approach is a little longer, it is worth a visit. Grades range from 5th to 8th and it is in the sun all day. A excellent option for the busier days in Siurana.

I had a great day climbing in Montserrat with Santiago. He picked a great route that was fun and challenging without being overwhelming. The most beautiful setting with endless awe inspiring walls and valleys. We’re new to outdoor climbing and our instructor couldn’t have been better. Interesting, enthusiastic, patient and inspiring we felt like we were climbing with a friend who taught us so much and tailored our weekend amazingly to our ability. We felt challenged without feeling completely out of our comfort zone. So fun!

My goal coming to Spain was to get out for a couple days rock climbing with my family. I’m a fairly accomplished climber but the mechanics of trying to take the family out on my own. Mariano our guide was the perfect example of what a guide should be, he was quick to set up and take down the climbs, had the perfect eye for challenging but achievable routes for the family, was friendly, great with the kids, a just an all around good guy. I can’t recommend this company enough, and am already planning my return trip to Spain to climb with them.
