In Siurana you can climb all year. If you know where to go and at what time, this paradise of orange rock, always has a good sector to enjoy climbing, either in the middle of summer or in the middle of winter.
Those super cold days, with single digit temperatures and north winds winds, Siurana offers a good variety of crags to shelter and enjoy climbing. Here is a selection of our favorite sectors for the coldest days of the year.
La Reina Mora, is a sector with lots of sun and quite sheltered from the wind. In addition, this sector is better to visit on very cold days, since its climbing routes tend to be very vertical, technical and with very small holds, being better to climb here the days of more friction. Here you will find routes from 5th to 8b, of excellent quality, although the sector will be enjoyed more if your level goes from 6b to 7c.
Can Toni Gros, sector of medium-grade routes between 6b and 7b, of very good quality and perhaps a little less crowded than La Reina Mora. In the sun, sheltered from the wind and fast approach. It is an excellent sector and worth a visit.
Grau of the Massets. Here we have three options: Grau de Massets Baix, Cami and Esquerra. The three are sheltered from the wind and the walls remain in the sun until around 3pm, but keep in mind that the base of the routes is usually between trees, so if it is very cold, the belayer will freeze. Here there is variety of grades from the 4th to the 8a/b.
Corral Nou, a not very frequented sector but with excellent climbing. It is in the sun and although its approach is a little longer, it is worth a visit. Grades range from 5th to 8th and it is in the sun all day. A excellent option for the busier days in Siurana.

My family was in Barcelona on vacation and wanted to go climbing. Santi picked us and took us on what we all thought was the BEST day of our vacation. I had a great experience today climbing with Giordano in Garraf! Just driving to the location was beautiful and the views once you reached the top were spectacular! I felt very safe with my instructor and he balanced making sure I had fun with safety, which you could tell was his priority.
